London-based Swedish fashion designer Louise Körner made a splash with her contemporary Scandinavian print designs. Swedish Fashion Council awarded her as the Swedish Fashion Talent of the Year for her SS/17 Collection. As she celebrates her 10th anniversary in London, she shares with DATS her favourite places in her adopted home city, where new spots are popping up on a regular basis.
One of my favourite restaurants when I first came to London, and still is. French dining in an incredible Gallery space with a restaurant that has Egg-shaped toilets. What more could you want!
A very hidden Argentinian-influenced restaurant in Notting Hill. With an amazing rooftop and very cool interiors, it’s - without surprise - a hotspot during Fashion week.
As a big fan of pasta, this is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in London. Just incredible Italian food, made by Italians.
A newly opened super cosy taco place in Soho. They just have fantastic Margaritas and proper Mexican tacos and tostadas.
Flesh & Buns
Amazingly tasty Asian junk food restaurant, in a hidden basement in Covent Garden. Their Asian hamburgers are to die for.
More daytime eating: Rochelle is just a perfect place to go for a day coffee or a chill lunch. A very relaxed space in the heart of Shoreditch, where you can sit and work perfectly.
A beautiful jazz cocktail bar in East London with a cocktail menu divided into historical eras, such as Pre-prohibition & post-war cocktails. Very cool, with an incredible atmosphere and discreet jazz background music that later turns into live jazz and blues-oriented music!
Experimental Cocktail Club Chinatown
Hidden behind a discrete black door in the middle of Chinatown with 20s-inspired interiors, they serve experimental cocktails in beautiful art-deco crystal glasses. Strong favorite!
Bourne & Hollingsworth
A very small hidden basement bar just off Oxford Street with floral wallpaper, a fireplace and tablecloths, serving cocktails in teacups! Just so fun & great.
Boundary Restaurant, Rooms & Rooftop
A great rooftop bar based in the heart of Shoreditch, where you can sip on great cocktails all night long.
The iconic restaurant situated in Covent garden works so well for a spontaneous drink in their beautiful bar area.
One of my favourite pubs in London! A plus: it has a lovely rooftop bar!
The Princess of Wales
Another pub I love, located in Primrose Hill.
The newly opened, relocated and refurbished Design Museum is as both visually satisfying as it is interesting, with numerous and often changing exhibitions that leave you truly inspired!
A perfect escape from busy London situated right behind The Design Museum. Be sure to see the Japanese and rose gardens, as well as spotting the occasional elegant peacock gliding around.
Swingers – the crazy golf club
For a uniquely entertaining experience head to Swingers, just off Liverpool Street Station. This place has managed, in true London style, to combine mini golf, street food and cocktails.
Colombia road flower market
One of my favourite street markets on Colombia Road that is literally just filled with stunning flowers every Sunday morning.
Victoria & Albert Museum
My favourite museum in London, the V&A not only has numerous fascinating exhibitions, but also incredible architecture. It’s a perfect place to wonder around soaking up the beautiful surroundings.
One of my favourite department stores in London who consistently stocks some of the most beautiful and interesting labels. A perfect shopping experience in a wonderful building, away from the bustling roads of west end.
Maybe not very original but a fantastic and unpretentious department store, where you can feel comfortable viewing the latest catwalk collections as well as day-to-day fashion items!
One of the many great vintage shops around the Brick Lane area but definitely one of my favourites.
