Located in the popular museum Haus der Kunst, this daytime café has a beautiful terrace overlooking the English Garden. The menu’s limited selection of dishes might seem disappointing but the food certainly exceeds expectations. I love this place because it has a very chilled and relaxed atmosphere at lunchtime.

By far the best place for food and wine in the centre of Munich. Whenever I have something special to celebrate, this is the place I go to. Both meat and fish dishes are fantastic!

My favourite fish restaurant in town. I always go there when I am in the Glockenbach area. Great for a quick bite at a fair price. Don´t miss out on the terrific vegetable buffet. In the summer, it has a great outdoor patio.

Located in the middle of Schwabing neighborhood, It’s the place I go to when I’m in the mood for Bavarian food and a “beer garden atmosphere”. Great location and excellent food, it’s especially nice in the summertime as you can sit outdoors. I love grabbing an ice cream after lunch just across the street!

Amazing Italian food, fair prices, great service. Reservation is absolutely necessary. By the way, this is the place where Carlo Ancelotti (trainer of Bayern Munich) has lunch at least three times a week… no wonder the waiters know everything about European soccer!
foodie - dates - hip - Italian
My favourite place for lunch in Schwabing area. Next to Osteria Italiana (the main restaurant), It’s also known as Thomas Mann´s favourite dining spot. The quality of food is similar to Osteria Italiana (so very high!) but the atmosphere is cooler, younger and prices are more affordable.
