48 HRS INSIDER GUIDE
Visionary. Eclectic. Original. We’re talking about the talented interior designer Marsica Fossati. Based in Milan, she’s the creative mind behind the hip interiors of the Peruvian restaurant Pacifico. Check out which spots she loves the most in town!
A restaurant with an exotic and international feel. The original and sophisticated interiors - from the wallpaper with waves to the blue hues and dim lighting - remind you of the sea. Their Peruvian food is excellent and they make the best “pisco souer”!
The elegant interiors are perfectly in line with Prada’s style. The pastel-coloured velvet décor blends in with the super colourful pastries. Enjoy them with a view over the stunning Galleria Vittorio Emanuele!
I love this place because of its Parisian feel. It takes me back to that magical time when cigars, whiskey and long evening gowns were worn. The food is traditional and of exceptionally high quality.
Premiata Trattoria Arlati dal 1936
The bizarre objects, placed here and there, give this eclectic restaurant a strong poetic and vintage feel. They serve up excellent local food.
MAM Milano Amore Mio
I love the industrial atmopsphere, coloured walls and table games! This small, welcoming restaurant is the perfect place to eat excellent vegetarian and vegan dishes.
Carlo e Camilla
A magical place in a restored sawmill. The location is charming and their drinks are incredible!
Osteria del Castello
A dreamy location in a small medieval borough on the outskirts of Milan, perfect for those Sunday day-trips out of town! The Tavern has a unique charm with its smoking chimneys and live music. The cuisine is inspired by the regional traditional dishes of Lombardy, Piedmont and Tuscany. There’s not a vast vegetarian selection but it’s worth the trip for the location alone!
La Bodeguita del Medio
A Cuban bar to forget about Milan for a couple of hours. Their exotic music, excellent traditional drinks and palm trees will take you straight to Havana!
The Yard Milano
I love their attention to detail and their British-style interiors. Have an amazing drink on their chesterfield sofas surrounded by books and leather trunks. The Moscow Mule is my favourite!
Dimmed lighting, loads of books and a perfect mix between sofas and tables. Perfect all year round, this place is warm in the winter and fresh in the summer. Their drinks are spectacular!
Spirit de Milan
A typical Milanese place that takes up a former factory. The industrial design and décor make it the perfect spot for concerts, theatre and parties. Take a look at their calendar, the Swing nights are super fun!
On the last Sunday of the every month, the Navigli canals fill up with the best vintage stalls! The perfect place if you’re looking for that special something to brighten up your home.
