We love a good concert, but sometimes the venue makes all the difference. Whether you’re looking for a concert hall or an intimate rock bar, we’ve got your back with the best places to catch live music in Copenhagen.

Amager Bio

hip – cool crowd

An old cinema-turned music venue and one of the larger ones, with a capacity of 1000 people. Amager Bio is the go-to spot to see a variety of acts, and we especially love this venue because both the view and acoustics are great from every spot inside.

An intimate venue with a focus on indie artists in addition to the appearance of genres from neo-folk to death metal. Located in Freetown Christiana, Loppen is a great small venue that will give you a raw and local music experience.

DR Koncerthuset

The go-to place to catch a symphony one night and a rock concert the next. A beautiful music hall that fits the needs of a very diverse audience, this is the probably the largest variety in genres you’ll find in Copenhagen.

Vega

luxury – cool crowd

Probably the most aesthetically pleasing on our list is Vega, designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen in the 1950s. Vega has been a music venue since 1996 and offers two different areas, each with additional bars and balconies. A little bit on the pricier side, you’re paying for the appearance.
