Margherita Maccapani Missoni on Milan

Thanks to her signature flair for patterns, colour and natural beauty, Margherita Maccapani Missoni has become one of the world’s youngest top fashion personalities. After having pursued her love for both philosophy and acting in New York, she founded her own brand, Margherita: a graceful collection dedicated entirely to kids. Here, she shares her all-time favorite hotspots in Milan, a city she knows like the back of her hand. With a global mindset and a keen eye for detail, we’re sure you’ll want to follow her insider guide!

La Latteria My favourite home-style food restaurant.

Il Boeucc An old school, traditional Milanese place: it was my grandfather’s beloved spot!

La Langosteria The place to go for a memorable dinner.

Pisco A warm, intimate restaurant with the best seafood in town.

Gattullo The best option for a quick lunch on the go: their sandwiches are just great!

Michetta’s Panini Milano A michetta sandwich is the equivalent of madeleines for Italian kids: you can find the best ever here!

Nottingham Forrest A tiny bar to sip on the most perfectly balanced cocktail.

Ceresio 7 A cool, modern rooftop bar and restaurant. Make sure you go at sunset!

Rovida If you want to have the best coffee in town, you can’t go wrong here.

Marchesi The perfect spot to experience Milan’s elegance and charm. Come here for pastries and coffee and you’ll never want to leave!

La Vigna di Leonardo At the back of a beautiful residence, lies a secret garden where the great master Leonardo Da Vinci once had his own vineyard.

The garden of Villa Invernizzi - A dreamy garden filled with pink flamingos in the centre of the city. Growing up, it seemed like the most exotic thing ever. It opened up a whole world of possibilities and it definitely was the mood and inspiration for my children's line.

Cimitero Monumentale One of the most beautiful places to take a stroll in Milan.

Università Statale - It’s the city’s state university. With its medieval cloisters, it’s the most inspiring place to spend the afternoon.

Teatro alla Scala Where I've been going since I was a little girl as my grandparents always rented a box. I loved going as it involved dressing up: it was my only occasion to wear elegant dresses.

5 Vie The “Five Streets” district in Milan’s historical centre offer the best local shopping experience! You can’t miss Wait and See, Laboratorio Paravicini, Artisanal, OMV atelier and Marta Ferri!

Profumo Here you can find one of the most refined selections of fragrances worldwide!

L'arabesque One of my favourite boutiques: it interlaces a sophisticated selection of fashion pieces, bijoux, design objects from the 50’s-60’s and rare books on interior design, art and fashion.

Libreria Bocca Open since 1775, a historical art library housed in the astonishingly beautiful Corso Vittorio Emanuele Gallery.
